Friend to Friend (Pink Event)

photoGetting screened on a regular basis is the best way for women to lower their chances of dying from breast and cervical cancer.  Texas A&M AgriLife recognizes the importance of these screenings and knows that early detection is the key to survival.  In an effort to promote regular breast and cervical screenings, Texas A&M AgriLife collaborated with Bellville St. Josephs Health Center and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.  Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service was awarded funding to adopt and use the Friend to Friend program to increase the number of women meeting American Cancer Society Screening standards.

You are provided with sensational speakers with staggering health statistics.  Also there is a host of area medical professionals and exhibitors on hand to answer questions regarding a variety of women’s health topicsIMG_2391.  The event also includes scheduling for a free or low cost mammogram, door prizes, free education services, exhibits and lunch.  We would like to encourage all women to take advantage of this opportunity yearly.

Our next event is scheduled for November.  Please check your local papers for information on this event later in the year.  You can also click on the EVENTS tab to view all upcoming programs and events and find out how to register.
