It’s that time of year in Texas for county fairs, rodeos, parades, and ag competitions, and the Austin County Fair has one contest that you will not find at any other County Fair in Texas. The Horticulture Committee of Austin County will host its Annual Pecan Show on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office located at 800 E Wendt St, Bellville, TX 77418.  There will be a short educational program followed by an awards presentation.   Entries for this year’s show must be delivered to the AgriLife Extension Office during normal business hours, 8:00am to 12:00pm (Noon) and 1:00pm to 5:00pm, beginning Friday, November 1st until Monday, November 25th.
