The Horticulture Committee of Austin County and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service of Austin County will be hosting a Fall Horticulture Seminar on Friday, August 23, 2024, at American Legion Post #442 located at 1630 Meyer St, Sealy. Program registration will begin at 12:30pm with the first presentation beginning at 1pm.
Information to be covered includes Planting & Maintenance of Fruit & Citrus Trees by Stephan Janak, Extension Program Specialist; Difference Between Hydro-, Aqua-, and Aero-ponics by Dr. Joe Masabni, Extension Program Specialist; and Gardening in Extreme Weather Conditions by Henry Flowers, Glasco & Co. Landscaping, Inc.
The program will cost $20 per person or $35 per couple. We ask that you RSVP to the Austin County Extension Office at 979-865-2072 or online at https://austin.agrilife.org/event-registrations/ to reserve your seat. If you purchase a tree from the Bluebonnet Master Gardener Fruit & Citrus Tree sale, you will receive a $5 discount to the program. The tree sale will begin at 11am outside the American Legion and will continue until sold out.
