FRED (Families Reading Every Day)

FRED is around the corner and the online portal is ready for you to sign up TODAY! Families Reading Every Day, or “FRED” as we like to call it, is a 4-week FREE reading program where you focus on reading together as a family. During the program, you enter daily reading logs of the number of books and time you read together as a family. The program will be featured this summer at all WIC Clinics in Austin County and the Gordon Memorial Library in Sealy. All you have to do is sign up online by JUNE 30th at the FRED website at https://fch.tamu.edu/fred/ and enter the Group Code FREDAUSTIN20. You can also pick up registration information from the WIC office in Sealy or Bellville, or the Gordon Memorial Library in Sealy. The program is scheduled to start JULY 1st. The family that reads the most books will receive a $50.00 gift card! So, “think outside the box” and participate in this online reading program this summer! Use these simple steps……..
- Register Online (Once on the website, left click on the word “REGISTER”) by June 30th
- Create an Adult Profile, then create a Child Profile for each child participating
- Start a New Session
- Enjoy 4 Weeks of Family Fun! Program starts July 1st – July 31st
