The last area 4-Hers can participate in is the 4-H Storyboard Contest. The purpose of the Fashion Storyboard contest is to give 4-H members an opportunity to create a storyboard of their original design. It also provides the members an opportunity to gain knowledge of the career responsibilities of a fashion designer and illustrator, enhance creativity and originality, and develop visual communication skills based on the design brief. The 2018 design brief will be “Fashion Design to the Rescue”. Wham! Pow! Bam! Take a cue from the superheroes or villains found in cartoons, movies, etc to create your own original design. Whether your inspiration comes from a person with phenomenal powers fighting for noble causes, their masked sidekick, or a criminal archenemy wreaking havoc on humanity, let their colorful and flashy costumes, valorous heroism, and superhuman traits be the stimulus to your blueprint to rescuing the world of fashion.
The County Fashion Show will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the Extension Office at 6:00pm. Deadline to register for the Fashion Show is Friday, February 16, 2018. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Extension Office!
